Supernova 2008gz

A magnitude 16.2,  Type II supernova, 2008gz, was discovered on the 5th November, 2008, by Koichi Itagaki (Perth Observatory) in the  spiral galaxy NGC 3672 in the constellation Crater.
The supernova is located 13" east, 7" south, from the nucleus of the galaxy.

Another magnitude 14.5 supernova, 2007bm, was discovered in the galaxy in 2007.

Position(2000): RA = 11 25 03.24, Dec = -09°47'51"

z = 0.006211
d = 26.3 Mpc
