A magnitude 15.2 supernova, 2008bt, was discovered on the 13th April 2008 by Koichi Itagaki and LOSS in the spiral galaxy NGC 3404 in the constellation Hydra.

Position(200): R.A. = 10h50m16.88, Dec. = -12°06'32".0

The supernova is located 16".4 west and 0".4 south of the nucleus of the galaxy.
As yet the Type is unknown
