The STS123 mission is scheduled for a sunset landing in Florida.
The early weather forecasts for Wednesday look favourable for a landing at the Kennedy Space Centre.
Of minor note was a reported impact of space debris on the shuttle's ****pit window, that left a BB-sized indent.
NASA flight director Richard Jones was confident that the indent posed no risk during re-entry.
