NASA today postponed by 24 hours efforts to launch the shuttle Atlantis because of faulty fuel gauge readings.
The 11-day assembly mission was tentatively rescheduled for a liftoff on Friday at 3:09 p.m. CST.

Nasa officials have delayed the launch of space shuttle Atlantis by at least 24 hours after engineers reported faults on two fuel gauges.
Two of the four sensors in the craft's external fuel tank indicated that the tank was dry, even though there was fuel inside, a spokesman said.
The US space agency will now attempt to launch the shuttle on Friday.

STS-122, the 24th U.S. mission to the International Space Station, to deliver the  Columbus science laboratory module,  is  scheduled to be launched from  launch pad LC-39A at the Kennedy Space Centre, Florida, US, at 21:30 GMT, 6th December, 2007.
