A magnitude13.6 supernova, 2007oc, was discovered on the 23rd October, 2007, by the Chilean Automatic Supernova Search program  in the spiral galaxy NGC 7418A, in the constellation Grus.
The supernova is located 6".1 east and 1".3 south of centre of the galaxy.

Position(2000): R.A. = 22h56m41s.77, Decl. = -36°46'22".3

As yet the type is unknown
