A magnitude 15.8 supernova, 2007cc, was discovered on the 27th April, 2007, by the Lick Observatory Supernova Search in the galaxy ESO 578-G26 in the constellation Virgo. The galaxy is located 1".2 east and 2".7 north of the centre of the galaxy.
Position(2000): R.A. = 14h08m41s.98, Dec. = -21°35'48".4 As yet the type is unknown.
