Nova Cygni 2007 = V2467 Cyg Discovered on Mar. 15.79 UT by A. Tago (Japan) as a mag V=7 object on images taken with a digital camera ( 70-mm f/3.2 lens). Its position coincides with a mag V= 18 red star. Spectroscopy has confirmed that the object was a nova. Position(2000): R.A.=20:28:12.47, Dec=+41:48:36.4.
A nova in Cygnus has been reported by a Japanese observer, Akihiko Tago. The IAU Central Bureau (CBET 890) reports the nova between Deneb and Gamma Cygni, at Position(2000): RA 20:28:12.52 Dec +41:48:36.5 Magnitude V=7.4
