NGC 4627 (also Arp 281, UGC 7860, MCG 6-28-19 and PGC 42620) is a magnitude +12.0 dwarf elliptical galaxy located about 30 million light-years away in the constellation Canes Venatici.
NGC 4627 is a satellite of a the much larger galaxy NGC 4631; these two galaxies are listed as Arp 281 in the Atlas of peculiar galaxies by Halton Arp.

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 20th March 1787.
