NGC 5090 (also ESO 270-2, MCG -7-27-54 and PGC 46626) is a magnitude +11.5 elliptical galaxy located 157 million light-years away in the constellation Centaurus.
The galaxy is gravitationally interacting with the neighbouring galaxy NGC 5091.

The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at the Cape of Good Hope on the 3rd June 1834.

Right Ascension 13h 21m 12.7s, Declination -43° 42' 18"
