NGC 5541 (also IRAS 14144+3949, MCG 7-29-59, UGC 9139 and PGC 50991) are a pair of magnitude +12.6 and +14.7 spiral galaxies located 354 million light-years away in the constellation Boötes.

The galaxies were discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road in Slough, Berkshire, on the 29th April 1788.

Right Ascension 14h 16m 31.7s, Declination +39° 35' 18"  

Right Ascension 14h 16m 32.1s, Declination +39° 35' 31"
