NGC 1503 (also ESO 83-13, IRAS 03561-6611 and PGC 14137) is a magnitude +13.6 barred spiral galaxy located 267 million light-years away in the constellation Reticulum.

The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town on the 2nd November 1834.
