NGC 6566 (also MCG 9-30-1 and PGC 61418) is a magnitude +14.5 elliptical galaxy located 244 million light-years away in the constellation Draco. 

The galaxy was discovered by German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 Merz-Refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 27th October 1861.

Position (J2000): R.A. 18h 07m 00.7s  |  Dec. +52° 15' 36.3"
