NGC 46 (also 2MASS: J00140989+0559158, UCAC3 192-840 and TYC 8-572-1) is a magnitude +11.68 F8 star located in the constellation Pisces.
The star was discovered by Irish astronomer Edward Joshua Cooper using a 33.9 cm 13 inch) f/22.4 refractor at the Markree Observatory on the 22nd October 1952.
