NGC 206 is a magnitude +14.0 star-forming region located in the constellation Andromeda. 

NGC 206 is part of the Andromeda Galaxy

The star-forming region was discovered by British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough on the 17th October 1786.

Position (J2000): R.A. 00h 40m 32.3s  |  Dec. +40° 44' 18"

It is notable for being the brightest star cloud in Andromeda as viewed from Earth.
