Messier 52 (also M52, NGC 7654 and OCL 260) is a magnitude +5.0 open star cluster located 5,000 ±2000 light-years away in the constellation Cassiopeia.

The cluster was discovered by French astronomer Charles Messier using a 8.38 cm (3.3-inch) refracting telescope at the Hôtel de Cluny (now the Musée national du Moyen Age), in Paris, France on the 7th September 1764.

Right Ascension 23h 24m 48.0s, Declination +61° 36' 00"

One study identified 193 probable members of the cluster, with the brightest member being magnitude 11.
