NGC 526 (also NGC 526A, ESO 352-66, MCG -6-4-19 and PGC 5120) is a magnitude +13.4 elliptical galaxy located 263 million light-years away in the constellation Sculptor.
The galaxy is close to the magnitude +13.0 elliptical galaxy NGC 526B (ESO 352-66, MCG -6-4-20 and PGC 5135)located 264 million light-years away.

The two galaxies were discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town on the 1st September 1834.
