NGC 6805 (also ESO 338-14, MCG -6-43-2 and PGC 63413) is a magnitude +12.8 elliptical galaxy located 274 million light-years away in the constellation Sagittarius.

The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 Inch) reflecting telescope at the Cape of Good Hope on the 24th August 1834. 

Right Ascension 19h 36m 45.8s, Declination -37° 33' 14"
