NGC 5471 (also MCG 9-23-30 and PGC 165629) is a magnitude +14.7 HII region of Messier 101 located in the constellation Ursa Major.

The nebula was discovered by German astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 22nd August 1863.

Right Ascension 14h 04m 28.9s, Declination +54° 23' 51"
