NGC 6689 (also NGC 6690, IRAS 18354+7028, MCG 12-17-26, UGC 11300 and PGC 62077) is a magnitude +12.5 spiral galaxy located 22 million light-years away in the constellation Draco.

The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 22nd August 1863.
The galaxy was rediscovered by Lewis Swift in August 1864 and relisted as NGC 6690

Right Ascension 18h 34m 49.9s, Declination +70° 31' 27"
