NGC 6901 (also IC 5000, IRAS 20199+0616, MCG 1-52-2, UGC 11542 and PGC 64552) is a magnitude +13.7 barred spiral galaxy located 219 million light-years away in the constellation Aquila.

The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92-cm (48-inch) reflector in Malta on the 15th August 1863.
The galaxy was rediscovered by Guillaume Bigourdan in September 1891 and relisted as IC 5000.

Right Ascension 20h 22m 21.6s, Declination +06° 25' 47"
