NGC 6427 (also NGC 6431, MCG 4-42-3, UGC 10957 and PGC 60758) is a magnitude +13.3 elliptical galaxy located 148 million light-years away in the constellation Hercules.

The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) speculum reflector at William Lassell's Tigné Point observatory in Sliema, Malta, on the 2nd July 1864. 
The galaxy was rediscovered by Edouard Stephan in June 1870 and relisted as NGC 6431.

Right Ascension 17h 43m 38.5s, Declination +25° 29' 38"
