NGC 6409 (also PGC 60565) is a magnitude +13.8 elliptical galaxy located 283 million light-years away in the constellation Draco.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Lewis Swift using a 40.64 cm (16 inch) refractor on the 18th June 1885.
