NGC 6406 is a magnitude +4.2 double star located in the constellation of Hercules. 

The double star was discovered by French astronomer Guillaume Bigourdan using a 30.48 cm (12 inch) refractor at the Paris Observatory on the 10th June 1885.

Right Ascension 17h 38m 19.2s, Declination +18° 49' 58"
