NGC 5834 (also NGC 5824, ESO 387-SC1 and GCL 31) is a magnitude +9.1 globular star cluster located 104600 light-years away in the constellation Lupus.
The cluster was discovered by Scottish astronomer James Dunlop using a 22.86 cm (9 inch) f/12 reflecting telescope at Paramatta, New South Wales, on the 14th May 1826. 
The cluster was rediscovered by John Herschel in May 1831.
The cluster was rediscovered by Edward Barnard in May 1882 and relisted as NGC 5824

Right Ascension 15h 03m 58.5s, Declination -33° 04' 02"
