NGC 5689 (also IRAS 14337+4857, MCG 8-27-4, UGC 9399 and PGC 52154) is a magnitude +11.9 lenticular galaxy located 99 million light-years away in the constellation Boötes.

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 12th May 1787. 

Right Ascension 14h 35m 29.6s, Declination +48° 44' 30"
