NGC 5511 (also NGC 5511B, MCG 2-36-50 and PGC 50771) is a magnitude +14.5 spiral galaxy located 336 million light-years away in the constellation Boötes.

The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer George Washington Hough using a 46.99 cm (18.5 inch) refractor at the Dearborn Observatory on Cottage Grove Avenue (managed by the Old University of Chicago) on the 10 May 1883.

Right Ascension 14h 13m 05.4s, Declination +08° 37' 56"
