NGC 3855 (also IC 2953, MCG 6-26-25, UGC 6709 and PGC 36530) is a magnitude +14.0 spiral galaxy located 428 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major.
The galaxy was discovered by German-Danish astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 8th May 1864.
The galaxy was rediscovered by Stephane Javelle in June 1896 and relisted as IC 2953.

Right Ascension 11h 44m 25.8s, Declination +33° 21' 21"
