NGC 5769 (also MCG 1-38-8 and PGC 53145) is a magnitude +14.1 spiral galaxy located 488 million light-years away in the constellation Boötes.

The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Edward Singleton Holden using a 39.6 cm (15.6 inch) f/15.6 Clark-refractor at the Washburn Observatory on the 27th April 1881.

Right Ascension 14h 52m 41.5s, Declination +07° 55' 57"
