NGC 6001 (also MCG 5-37-27, UGC 10036 and PGC 56056) is a magnitude +13.6 face-on spiral galaxy located 458 million light-years away in the constellation Corona Borealis.

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire, on the 11th April 1785.

Right Ascension 15h 47m 45.9s, Declination +28° 38' 30"
