NGC 4189 (also IC 3050, IRAS 12112+1342, MCG 2-31-54, UGC 7235 and PGC 39025) is a magnitude +11.7 face-on spiral galaxy located 97 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices. 

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire, on the 8th April 1784.
The galaxy was rediscovered by Arnold Schwassmann in November 1900 and relisted as IC 3050.

Right Ascension 12h 13m 47.2s, Declination +13° 25' 29"
