NGC 3397 (also NGC 3329, IRAS 10405+7704, MCG 13-8-33, UGC 5837 and PGC 32059) is a magnitude +12.2 spiral galaxy located 89 million light-years away in the constellation Draco. 

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 2nd April 1801.
The galaxy was rediscovered by John Herschel in September 1828 and relisted as NGC 3329.

Right Ascension 10h 44m 39.0s, Declination +76° 48' 35"
