NGC 5051 (also ESO 444-1, IRAS 13135-2801, MCG -5-31-42 and PGC 46194) is a magnitude +13.3 spiral galaxy located 204 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra. 

The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at the Cape of Good Hope on the 30th March 1835.

Right Ascension 13h 16m 20.0s, Declination -28° 17' 10"
