NGC 5357 (also ESO 445-78, MCG -5-33-32 and PGC 49534) is a magnitude +12.0 elliptical galaxy located 224 million light-years away in the constellation Centaurus.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at the Cape of Good Hope on the 30th March 1835.
