NGC 5494 (also ESO 446-25, IRAS 14094-3024, MCG -5-34-1 and PGC 50732) is a magnitude +11.8 spiral galaxy located 120 million light-years away in the constellation Centaurus.

The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at the Cape of Good Hope on the 30th March 1835.

Right Ascension 14h 12m 23.7s, Declination -30° 38' 41"
