NGC 2944 (also Arp 63, IRAS 09363+3232, MCG 6-21-67, UGC 5144 and PGC 27533) is a magnitude +14.0 pair of interacting spiral galaxies located 312 million light-years away in the constellation Leo. 

The galaxies were discovered by Austrian astronomer Johann Palisa using a 30.48 cm (12 inch) Clark refractor at the Vienna Observatory on the 27th March 1886.

Right Ascension 09h 39m 18.0s, Declination +32° 18' 38"
