NGC 3312 (also IC 629, ESO 501-43, IRAS 10346-2718, MCG -4-25-39 and PGC 31513) is a magnitude +11.9 spiral galaxy located 133 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra. 

The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at the Cape of Good Hope on the 26th March 1835.
The galaxy was rediscovered by Guillaume Bigourdan in February 1887 and relisted as IC 629.

Right Ascension 10h 37m 02.3s, Declination -27° 33' 56"
