NGC 3526 (also NGC 3531, IRAS 11043+0726, MCG 1-28-39, UGC 6167 and PGC 33635) is a magnitude +13.2 spiral galaxy located 65 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo. 

The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Albert Marth using a 121.92 cm (48 inch) reflector at William Lassell's Tigné Point observatory in Sliema, Malta, on the 25th March 1865.
The galaxy was rediscovered by Edward Singleton Holden in April 1881 and relisted as NGC 3531.
