NGC 4770 (also MCG -1-33-40 and PGC 43804) is a magnitude +12.7 lenticular galaxy located 168 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo. 

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Clayhall Farm House in Old Windsor on the 25th March 1786.

Right Ascension 12h 53m 32.2s, Declination -09° 32' 28"
