NGC 4790 (also IRAS 12522-0958, MCG -2-33-56 and PGC 43972) is a magnitude +12.4 spiral galaxy located 62 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo. 

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Clayhall Farm House in Old Windsor on the 25th March 1786.

Right Ascension 12h 54m 51.9s, Declination -10° 14' 52"
