NGC 4520 (also IC 799 and PGC 41748) is a magnitude +14.0 lenticular galaxy located 351 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 23rd March 1789.
The galaxy was rediscovered by Lewis Swift in April 1889 and relisted as IC 799.

Right Ascension 12h 33m 49.9s, Declination -07° 22' 29"
