NGC 2843 (also PGC 26414) is a magnitude +15.5 lenticular galaxy located 782 million light-years away in the constellation Cancer.
A relatively bright foreground star HD 80495 lies close (9' north) to the galaxy.

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire, on the 21st March 1784.

Right Ascension 09h 20m 28.7s, Declination +18° 55' 34"
