NGC 2666 is an uncertain magnitude +12.1 open star cluster located 2800 light-years away in the constellation Lynx.
The identification of the cluster is not certain, because the position given by Herschel has nothing corresponding to it in the sky. The position may refer to a loose scattering of stars around the star HD 75135

The cluster was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 19th March 1828.
