NGC 2505 (also IRAS 08001+5341, MCG 9-13-115, UGC 4193 and PGC 22644) is a magnitude +13.2 spiral galaxy located 448 million light-years away in the constellation Lynx.

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 18th March 1790.

Right Ascension 08h 04m 06.7s, Declination +53° 32' 59"
