NGC 2874 (also Arp 307, IRAS 09230+1138, MCG 2-24-10,, UGC 5021 and PGC 26740) is a magnitude +12.5  spiral galaxy located 174 million light-years away in the constellation Leo.
The galaxy is gravitationally interacting with the neighbouring galaxy NGC 2872: these two galaxies are listed as Arp 307 in the Atlas of peculiar galaxies by Halton Arp.

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Clayhall Farm House in Old Windsor on the 15th March 1786.
