NGC 4681 (also ESO 268-40, IRAS 12446-4303, MCG -7-26-46 and PGC 43166) is a magnitude +12.7 spiral galaxy located 152 million light-years away in the constellation Centaurus.

The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at the Cape of Good Hope on the 15th March 1836.

Right Ascension 12h 47m 28.7s, Declination Dec -43° 20' 05"
