NGC 5074 (also MCG 5-31-172 and PGC 46354) is a magnitude +14.0 spiral galaxy located 258 million light-years away in the constellation Canes Venatici.

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire, on the 13th March 1785.

Right Ascension 13h 18m 25.8s, Declination Dec +31° 28' 06"
