NGC 2827 (also IC 2460, MCG 6-21-9 and PGC 26342) is a magnitude +14.8 edge-on spiral galaxy located 323 million light-years away in the constellation Lynx.

The galaxy was discovered by Anglo-Irish astronomer George Stoney using a 182.88 cm (72 inch) speculum reflector at Birr castle on the 13th March 1850.
The galaxy was rediscovered by Stephane Javelle in February 1900 and relisted as IC 2460.

Right Ascension 09h 19m 18.9s, Declination Dec +33° 52' 51"
