NGC 3952 (also IC 2972, IRAS 11510-0342, MCG -1-30-44 and PGC 37285) is a magnitude +13.1 spiral galaxy located 72 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 11th March 1787.
The galaxy was rediscovered by Lewis Swift in March 1895 and relisted as IC 2972.

Right Ascension 11h 53m 40.1s, Declination Dec -03° 59' 50"
