NGC 2552 (also IRAS 08156+5009, MCG 8-15-62, UGC 4325 and PGC 23340) is a magnitude +12.0 spiral galaxy located 24 million light-years away in the constellation Lynx.
In the sky it can be found roughly 17' south of HD 69550.

The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 9th March 1788.

Right Ascension   08h 19m 19.6s, Declination +50° 00' 25"
