NGC 2401 (also OCL 588 and Collinder 149) is a magnitude +12.6 open cluster located 20,548 light-years away in the constellation Puppis.

The cluster was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 8th March 1793.

Right Ascension   07h 29m 24.3s, Declination -13° 58' 00"
